Creating Meaningful Connections in a Distracted World
Hey! How are you? Today's study entails creating meaningful bonds that lasts in a tech-inspired world. Have you ever wondered why out of over a trillion people on the internet, you're still single? Or why most relationships today are built on shaky foundations, and they often lead to failure? Well a study proves that "1 in 3 people feel lonely, despite the world being connected than ever." Truth be told ~technology brings us closer but leaves us with a feeling of isolation~. Building a connection in today's world, has to be intentional and not based of social media. Studies also proves that closer relationships tends to build stronger bonds, reduces stress and boosts happiness. Lets dive in!
In a distracted world we live in, anxiety has crept into the heart of many people, most of which have been falsely deceived by what they see on social media. They perceive illusionary living as ideal, and they continue to watch people live their lives rather than building their own. A lot of people prefer scrolling than going for a walk, they prefer online relationships than having a real relationship, they prefer setting standards that they themselves cannot meet. This is the genesis of a failed mindset, they often tend to be unsatisfactory in the real world because they have fallen victims of the distractions of the fake one. If you fall in any of the above category, it sucks to be you! But you know what? there could always be a change.
If you ever need a start, you could always start by "Being Present". Always showing up, is a good way to start. Check your windows, go outside and take a walk. Prioritize your loved ones, always show empathy when necessary are exquisitely positive ways to start too.
"Connection is why we’re here; it’s what gives purpose and meaning to our lives." – BrenĂ© Brown
Aren't you tired of feeling lonely, frankly saying, life could be better. It just needs a bold step in approaching what you desire. Understand that not every sensation you get from social media is positive. Know that most times social media is constantly showing you how incompetent you are by showing you competent people. Note how you're satisfied by watching others live their lives why yours is a mess. You need people, not online but in reality. You need people for happiness, you need people to help relieve stress with you, you need them to support you.
"In a world full of noise, meaningful connections are a choice. Prioritize relationships, embrace vulnerability, and be present—the rewards are immeasurable."
